The City of Daytona Beach has brought back youth baseball. Under the guidance of Terry "Baldy" Johnson youth participation for baseball is once again on the rise. Daytona Beach Leisure Services began rebuilding the baseball program in 2015 by hosting a series of free youth baseball training clinics for the community. This year they have joined the Babe Ruth Baseball league and competing with several other local teams. Winners from the league are eligible to advance to state and regional tournaments and eventualy compete in the National World Series.
