Kim Moten, is the organizer of Fashion Week on the Beach. This year marked the 5th Annual Daytona Beach Fashion Week as designers and models gathered from around Florida to showcase their designs on a professional platform. Moten has over 27 years of experience as a stylist and is actively styling at Fifis Hair Salon on Mary McLeod Bethune in Daytona Beach. She is an adjunct professor of cosmetology at Daytona State College and the Owner/Operator of Kimiko Clothing Co. Kim is also a fashion show coordinator/commentator/and event planner.
"Fashion En Blanc"
was held in downtown Daytona Beach with over 150 participants that included vendors from around the County and Orlando. The event featured 7 scenes of clothing by designers and clothing stores. Featured at the fashion show, Wendell Jean Pierre, Orlando, FL, Island Couture by Kenijulia, Jacksonville, FL, Designs by Gloria Calahan, Orlando, FL, Lady M Boutique/Lyn Moten, Daytona Beach, FL, Peppers Boutique, Ormond Beach, FL, Beauty Closet by Shanieka Nesbitt, Jacksonville, FL, Yesnilco Clothing by Lindsay Brown, and the grand finale, Kimiko by Kim Michele.
The fashion show was done in the Spirit of Excellence, from the clothing, food, set-up, music, and community engagement.
