Steve Miller Interviews Mr. Dave Robinson
This month, the Midtown Neighborhood Watch had the pleasure of hosting Mr. Dave Robinson, the advocate for the Daytona Beach Regional Chamber of Commerce. His insightful presentation on community engagement and the importance of affordable housing resonated deeply with our attendees.
In his role as advocate, Mr. Robinson is passionate about connecting with the community and promoting local businesses. He believes that strong neighborhoods are essential for a thriving economy and that everyone has a role to play in making a positive impact.
When asked about his thoughts on the Neighborhood Watch meeting, Mr. Robinson expressed his enthusiasm for the group's dedication to their community. He emphasized the importance of grassroots efforts in driving change and creating a safer, more vibrant neighborhood.
One of the pressing issues discussed at the meeting was the lack of affordable housing in the Daytona Beach area. Mr. Robinson explained how this shortage affects businesses' ability to attract and retain employees. To address this challenge, the Chamber is working with state legislators and supporting initiatives like Senate Bill 328, which aims to increase affordable housing options throughout Florida.
Mr. Robinson's visit to the Midtown Neighborhood Watch was a valuable opportunity for our residents to learn more about the Chamber's work and connect with a dedicated advocate for our community. We are grateful for his participation and look forward to future collaborations.
The next Midtown Neighborhood Watch meeting will be Monday, October 14th, 630pm at the Charles Cherry Center.
