Youth Athlete Creates Sneaker Design Business

Dr. Primroses partnered with the Daytona Beach Police Department for the second annual, "Calling on a Few Good Men" Event at the on Saturday, Apri 20.


One of the guest speakers was Jason Bland. At 11 years old he was recruited into the drug trade, by the time he was 16 he was a fugitive from justice from both the commonwealth of Mass, and the lone star state of Texas, At 20 tragedy shook his world; his best friend was gunned down by a police officer. At the age of 25 he received his degree in Theater, went on and studied psychology. After running a mom and pop business he entered the auto industry as a salesman. Nineteen years later he's been in every level of management, most recently a finance manager. He is a father, a husband and loyal friend.


Another powerful speaker at the event was Chandler Powers, a 15 year old student athlete at University High in Orange City, FL. Currently he participates in football and weightlifting while holding down a 4.14 GPA and plans to dual enroll at Daytona State College.


He is the youngest of two boys. His brother's name is Cameron and he is 20. He spends a lot of time with his mom and nana and papa. He currently runs a business spray painting designs on cleats and plans to develop it into a LLC soon.
